I'm so happy that the Marriott feast is back - we've gone a few times and it is wonderful! Beautiful display and excellent food! Can't wait for more info and photos! The fireguy is pretty cool too!!

Now this looks like fun! Okay, adding it to my list of must do's! And you know me, I'll be writing about the food, especially if it involves anything luscious, yummy and wonderfully fattening

My daughter and I were last in Cayman in August 2005 when the Marriott was just reopening. Many of the renovations were not complete yet. We had a wonderful time and fell in love with Grand Cayman and the awesome diving. I got married last year and wanted to share the island with my husband for our honeymoon. He wanted to cruise, so we compromised and selected a cruise that spent one day in Grand Cayman and did the Stingray City Dive scene.
I have since convinced him that we need to spend a week on the island, so I won and I will be coming back in July.
The Marriott Restaurants were not in service then and I hear the Friday buffet and show are excellent.
Trying to determine is the 6:00 or 8:00 seating would be best for the first night on the island. We arrive at 1:00 PM. We will be diving in the morning. So, question is: Is the later seating a better ambiance since it will be getting dark or is the 6:00 seating just as good to enjoy the show.
Sorry so long winded. Just booked everything and I too excited. Can't stop thinking about the trip and hoping July gets here soon.

We've done both seatings and preferred the 6 p.m. time. It was wonderful to watch the sunset while eating. Then, it was dark when the "fire guy" did his thing.
We reserved a few weeks before we went and I requested a table along the beach and we had the most perfect table of the night! It was spectacular. Go to my trip report to see some photos...

It is outside along the pool deck. It is a beautiful outdoor setting and not inside. You can sit in the open or there is an area that is under an awning. Hope this helps. My mouth is watering just thinking about it...YUM!!!
:palm:
