hi

a buddy and i are thinking about going to grand cayman island mid april. we are in our early 30's and single. just want to see if there is any night life there. we have been to cancun, bahamas, jamica, acapulco and enjoyed the nite life there. any info would help.

the Caymans are definitely not akin to Cancun, Jamaica, Acapulco as far as nightlife is concerned. More low key & laid back, no casinos, no typical "nightclubs." Not to say you won't totally enjoy it, but don't expect a flagrant party scene! GC is actually a pretty classy, well-educated island where traditional values are the rule. Our mid 20's, early 30's offspring love Grand Cayman & via diving or hanging out at Coconut Joe's, Lone Star, etc. found many opportunites to "socialize" and have always claimed their trips to GC better than any other vacation spots they have been.
