Server Upgrade

Our ever-increasing membership and overall user activity has caused us to once again outgrow our server. We are already on a fast semi-dedicated server and yet for the past several months we have been consistently exceeding our bandwidth limitations and suffering slow page loads. So we are upgrading to a newer and faster server, which can better accommodate our growing needs.

The transfer is scheduled to begin at 2am tomorrow (Friday) morning and should take 2-3 hours. During that time, various parts of our site ? including our forums will be down. If all goes well, the transfer will be completed by 6am and you should notice an increase in speed, even during peak times when we have several hundred members online.

Some of you may remember the utter fiasco we experienced last time we changed servers. It may be reassuring to know that Colin (the person who eventually helped restore everything that time ) is the person now making the transfer, along with Noah's support. He has performed this task many times and we have taken every precaution to minimize the chance of any complications.

By morning, everything should be fully operational and faster than ever!

The server move has been completed! Very Happy

I have gone through the site and everything seems to be running normally with no obvious problems or errors.

Some users may experience some slowness.

This is due to propagation. Some ISPs are slower than others to update their dns servers. In this case you are viewing the site from the old server, while the database is on the new server.

This is temporary and will eventually resolve itself.

Please post here, if you are experiencing any problems or notice any issues with the website.

Yes, he's ours. We have 2. Both Himalayan/Persians

1 is Flame Point(avatar) and the other is a blue Point.

Here they are cuddling Smile
